Daylesford Lavender Farm
Lavender Farm at Daylesford-Hepburn Springs
Hepburn Springs near Daylesford in Central Victoria, is the perfect place for a lavender farm. The property was originally settled by Italian-Swiss farmers in the 1860s. They grew olives, vines and other traditional crops to sustain them through winter. It's an area that’s rich in history with farmhouses clustered around a cobbled courtyard, surrounded by olive groves, grape vines and lavender fields.

The stores in Maldon have been lovingly maintained in heritage colours and retain their original, late 1800's, style. Maldon
Back to the goldrush days in Maldon
Maldon provides a fascinating step back in time to the prosperity of those gold rush days with its perfectly preserved streetscape. It's very much a tourist town with cafes, antique shops and galleries open to enjoy and explore. You can even experience a journey on a tourist steam train.
It has been designated "Australia's first notable town" and is celebrated for its 19th-century appearance, maintained since gold-rush days.

The Weekender's Guide to Daylesford
Combining respite and pleasure during a weekend in Daylesford is easy. We’ve picked out a few of our favourites things to fill two days in spa country.
By Caroline Clements, 3rd June 2011, from http://www.broadsheet.com.au
As the urban sprawl spreads further north, the distance between the city and your weekend destination seems less and less of an obstacle. Daylesford is only 90 minutes away and if you skip around the herds departing the city on Friday night, you’ll be in spa country

Eliza's Barn at Porcupine Ridge Estate
Eliza's barn has such wonderful vistas across the paddocks, down to the Wombat Forest and from the verandah. Waking up to the kangaroos in the mornings is such an incredible sight! Some beautiful photos were taken around the Barn and we share a slideshow from Flickr here.
Annabelle's & Emma's Cottages
We couldn't resist making our first video to share the delights of our cottages with more distant friends. Chopin was kind enough to lend us his Nocturne No.2 for the occasion.
